Years later
Pa and Ma came to Iowa City
to visit with our newborn son, Jamie.
I caught a 13 pound walleye
below the dam in the Iowa River.
She filed for divorce as soon as my parents left.
Above Sun Valley in the Salmon River at Sunbeam Dam
where I dreamed of fishing for 32 years,
I finally caught a salmon - 13 pounds (again).
It swam 1000 miles inland and upland from the sea...
The experience saddened me
And as 13 pound Brown out of Lake Michigan by Two Rivers Wisconsin...
